Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify the design of permanent way (P.Way) works, including track alignment, track structure, turnouts, ballast, formation, and related drawings, ensuring compliance with Indian Railways, RDSO standards, IRS specifications, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to resolve track design issues, interface conflicts, and technical queries related to civil, bridge, electrification, and signalling works.
• Monitor the execution of track works, including track laying, ballast works, welding, tamping, and turnout installation, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Review construction methodologies, design modifications, and value engineering proposals to improve constructability, operational safety, and project efficiency while minimizing risks.
• Prepare technical review reports, maintain design approval records, participate in design coordination meetings, and monitor the progress of track design submissions, approvals, and construction activities.
