Design Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with strong expertise in heavy machinery, mining, construction, or industrial equipment design.

The candidate will be responsible for creating CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs for sub-systems used in industrial screening equipment and related machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models based on functional and manufacturing requirements
• Develop manufacturing drawings and detailed fabrication drawings
• Design structural weldments, bolted assemblies, and mechanical components
• Perform basic engineering calculations including:
• Beam bending
• Stress calculations
• Bearing selection
• Motor selection
• Prepare BOMs and ECNs for production release
• Ensure designs comply with material and safety standards
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, simplicity, and cost reduction
• Validate designs using engineering mechanics and strength of materials principles
  

Required Skills

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks
• Strong experience in AutoCAD drafting
• Experience working with Teamcenter
• Exposure to NX will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of fabricated structures and weld design
• Experience in heavy machinery, mining, screening, or construction equipment industry preferred
  
  

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  
  

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in heavy engineering, mining equipment, screening systems, or industrial machinery environments will be preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
