Job Description

Designation-Deputy Manager-Electrical


Location-Oman


Candidate will be responsible for supervision of permits, installation of Electrical System,

Testing & commissioning of electrical systems for a green ammonia production plant. The role focuses on high-efficiency power supply, ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards (IEC/IEEE).

Project knowledge range includes understanding complex EPC contracts and technical oversight of electrical contractors. The Senior Engineer will also manage electrical and control systems for power plants, design power distribution systems, MCC, HV & LV Panels with wiring schematics, develop construction specifications, and write and review equipment specifications


Responsibilities:

· Reviews of project and general specifications, specific engineering procedures and engineering policy.

· Responsible for infrastructure activities related to electrical i.e. Transformers, Switchgear panels,

Distribution Boards installation, HT & LT cable laying and Street Light Pole installation with Lighting

Fixtures.

· Establishing Electrical Engineering scopes of work, manhour estimates, equipment estimates,

resources, budgets, schedules.

· Responsible for project execution within budget and time schedules, management and leading other engineers, and must be able to work independently.

· Oversee project construction efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and

within budget.

· Develop and contribute to equipment specifications & requisitions for procurement purposes.

· Review of subcontractor electrical deliverables to ensure technical quality.

· Read and interpret facility engineering drawings and make necessary modifications or

recommendations.

· Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers of electrical and other equipment and materials to ensure

technical specifications are understood and met.

· Prepare and cross-check relevant procedures, international standards and Company’s technical

specifications for application into design activities / modification activities.

· Oversee the construction to ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications, inspect

construction workmanship, materials, and equipment.

· Oversee site work elements within discipline and provide early notifications of potential schedule

slippages regarding the electrical construction activities.

· Report to the discipline head on the project’s conformity and non-conformity to approved drawings and specifications makes recommendations on how to correct deficiencies and resolve problems during construction

· Review contractor’s invoices related to electrical work to ensure accuracy and completeness.

· Conduct regular inspections to verify that electrical installations are being executed correctly and

complained with regulations. Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies.

· Supervise contractors to provide updates on electrical works progress, address any concerns and

ensure that their requirements are met and report to discipline head.

· Attending meetings with the contactors and sub-contractors related to ongoing site activities and

reviewing their progress of work.


Required Qualifications & Skills: · Education: Bachelor’s / Diploma degree - Electrical Engineering · Experience: 8-10+ years of relevant experience in petrochemical, chemical, or fertilizer plants, with preference for experience in renewable energy or hydrogen projects. · Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, VFDs & MCCs. · Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, and SAP. · Soft Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills to work within multidisciplinary teams.
