Job Title: Depot Sales Officer
Location: Gurgaon
Role Type: Field Role
Shift Timing: Early Morning (4:00 AM start)
Position Summary & Scope
Responsible for achieving sales targets for all dailies and magazines, plan and implement promotional, sales activities, maintain trade relations to influence vendor decisions, plan, organize and monitor performance on regular basis.
Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)
• Achieve Sales Target: Prepare sales target for each publication, devise strategy to achieve targets, implement new reader schemes, conduct regular reader surveys, analyze and review sales figures for each month on actuals against targets, maintain MIS records, conduct review meetings with the team.
• Keep unsold below target levels: Monitor unsold on a daily basis by reviewing CSPs sales and optimizing unsold based on CSP potential, implement resale of unsold through various promotional activities.
• Timely collections: Monitor dealer accounts on daily basis, supervise timely collection of monthly bills, resolve credit issues and settlement of dealer accounts, upgrade security deposit in dealer accounts, track dealer deposits and supervise timely collections.
• Maintain healthy trade relations: Strengthen Trade Relations with key vendors who help in implementing sales and promotional activities, control and monitor trade union activities, track competitor activities, gather and analyze market feedback on our products, liaison with vendors and distributors to ensure roadblock to competition activities, participate in vendor celebrations.
• Team Management: Introduce new schemes and alternative mode of selling for team members, coach and lead team members for achievement of individual KRAs.
Key Skills & Core Competencies
• Should be well versed in speaking English & Hindi.
• Having own 2-wheeler would be advantageous.
• Personal/Direct selling experience required.
• Excellent communication skills with a flair for sales.
• Ability to focus and adaptability.
• Time management.
Qualification and Experience
Graduate/ Postgraduate
4-6 years’ experience in sales preferably from Publication/FMCG sector.
