- Visual Merchandising (Mandatory skill): Expertise in planning and implementing effective product displays to maximize customer engagement and drive category performance.
- Customer Service (Mandatory skill): Consistent track record in delivering exceptional customer service, handling complaints efficiently, and fostering positive customer relationships.
- Sales Forecasting: Analytical skills to estimate demand, plan inventory, and optimize sales opportunities within the department for better business outcomes.
- Loss Prevention: Strong knowledge of shrinkage control techniques, surveillance measures, and implementation of best practices to minimize losses.
- Staff Training: Practical experience in onboarding, motivating, and developing team members to maintain high performance and support career growth.
- KPI Tracking: Ability to monitor, analyze, and report on business metrics to evaluate departmental performance and drive necessary improvements.
- Effective Communication: Proficient in clearly articulating goals, providing feedback to team members, and addressing cross-functional operational needs in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Lead daily operations within the assigned department, ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures and company guidelines for retail excellence.
- Oversee visual merchandising efforts to ensure optimal product presentation, updated signage, and implementation of seasonal/promotional themes in the department.
- Deliver a consistent and outstanding in-store customer experience by resolving issues, responding to feedback, and cultivating customer loyalty.
- Monitor and forecast sales trends, plan stock requirements, and take proactive measures to achieve financial targets while reducing excess inventory and wastage.
- Institute robust loss prevention processes including inventory checks and staff awareness to safeguard assets and reduce shrinkage.
- Provide hands-on training, coaching, and development opportunities for staff to build product knowledge and customer engagement skills.
- Track departmental KPIs, analyze performance against goals, and implement action plans to drive improvements in productivity and sales.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring alignment of department activities with overall store and company objectives.
