Job Overview

We are seeking a results-driven DC HEAD to lead our distribution center operations in Kolkata. This is a full-time, mid-level role requiring expertise in warehouse management and automation. The role involves optimizing operational efficiency, elevating team performance, and ensuring seamless supply chain execution in alignment with Reliance Retails objectives.

Qualifications And Skills

Proven expertise in warehouse management, including strategic layout design, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
Strong experience in automation solutions within warehousing environments, deploying technology-driven optimization.
Demonstrated ability in leading, motivating, and developing large operational teams fostering productivity and accountability.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management processes, integrating logistics, transportation, and distribution for efficiency.
Hands-on experience with SAP ERP for warehouse, inventory, and order management, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
Exceptional skills in overseeing order fulfillment accuracy, throughput, and timely dispatch to achieve customer satisfaction.
Effective management of third-party logistics partners (3PL), including SLAs, cost negotiation, and performance evaluation.
Sound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to identify gaps in process, safety risks, and operational bottlenecks.

Roles And Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all aspects of the distribution center operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and standards.
Develop, implement, and review warehouse processes to maximize productivity, optimize space, and manage resources efficiently.
Drive automation initiatives, incorporating new technologies to streamline processes, reduce errors, and enhance the throughput.
Manage, motivate, and mentor the warehouse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Ensure seamless inbound and outbound supply chain activities, managing inventory movements and timely order fulfillment.
Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and merchandising teams for alignment and effective resource planning.
Oversee relationships and contracts with 3PL/providers, ensuring quality of service, compliance, and optimal logistics costs.
Maintain safety standards, compliance with statutory regulations, and risk mitigation protocols across the DC operations.
Monitor key operational performance metrics, drive process improvements, and prepare reports for senior management.
