Database Engineer (Adabas) – Lead Programmer Analyst (Exp: 5 Years to 8 Years)

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database Engineer (Adabas) as a Lead Programmer Analyst with more than 5+ years of experience in DBA Adabas tool applied on about 70 Databases, working in close collaboration and deep partnership with the rest of IT teams (internal and external).

Experience should have 5 to 8 Years Database Engineer (Adabas) as a Lead Programmer Analyst of which 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure as DBA Adabas role.
Stress resistant (work on a stress Production environment)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experts have high level knowledge and deep level practice of ADABAS and Mainframe tools :

Configurations
Management
Troubleshooting

Technical skills are :

z/OS
ADABAS
NATURAL
JCL mainframe
REXX

Other Skills

Good knowledge of « Natural security” and “Predict”
The knowledge of the functions of the sub-products id is a plus (Adabas Fast path, Online System, Natural ISPF, CICS interface, security,)
Good knowledge in JES2, MVS
Mastering the management of sequential files (PS), partitioned PDS(E) and VSAM.

To provide support and advice to Applications Development Teams
To define roadmap changes for in-scope solutions
To manage existing tools
To be an actor within required evolutions / changes projects, where Team is involved

DBA Adabas

To manage ADABAS bases, files and their evolution
To handle requests for changes / evolutions

Support day-to-day activities

To troubleshot and fix reported Incidents
provide support to all Incident, problem involving In-Scope solutions
Maintenance of internal tools (REXX)
Incident Management can lead to coordinate with several IT teams (Application owners, Infrastructure owners)
