Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments across Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud SQL, and MongoDB platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database performance, security, availability, backup and recovery, and supporting application teams in production and non-production environments.

• Work mode: Remote
• Shift timings: Rotational Shift (24/7)

Responsibilities

Microsoft SQL Server Administration:

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning recommendations.
• Manage backups, restores, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement security best practices, user access controls, and auditing.
• Support database migrations and version upgrades.

GCP Cloud SQL Administration:

• Provision and manage Cloud SQL instances (SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL).
• Configure backups, replication, high availability, and failover mechanisms.
• Monitor database health, performance, storage, and resource utilization.
• Implement security controls including IAM, encryption, and network access policies.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives. Optimize costs and resource utilization in GCP environments.

MongoDB Administration:

• Install, configure, and manage MongoDB databases.
• Monitor replication, sharding, and cluster health.
• Perform backup, recovery, and capacity planning activities.
• Optimize query performance and indexing strategies.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and high availability.
• Troubleshoot database and application-related issues.

Requirements

• 8+ years of DBA experience.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
• Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud SQL.
• Experience managing MongoDB databases in production environments.
• Knowledge of backup/recovery, HA/DR, replication, and performance tuning.
• Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong SQL scripting and automation skills. Knowledge of security, compliance, and access management practices.
