Database Administrator - Mongo/Cassandra

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with expertise in MongoDB and Cassandra to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, replication, sharding, clustering, backup and recovery, high availability, and performance tuning. Proficiency in Linux/Unix is also required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance databases using MongoDB and Cassandra
• Ensure high availability and reliability of databases through replication, sharding, and clustering
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss
• Optimize database performance through tuning and monitoring
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schema
• Troubleshoot database issues and resolve problems in a timely manner
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices
  
  

Requirements

• 6-9 years of experience in database administration
• Expertise in MongoDB and Cassandra
• Strong knowledge of database administration, replication, sharding, clustering, backup and recovery, high availability, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
