Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Python / Generative AI Engineer who will act as a technical bridge between AI research prototypes and production-grade systems.

The role involves translating AI proof-of-concepts created by data science teams into scalable, production-ready applications using Python, agent orchestration frameworks, and Azure serverless technologies.

The candidate will work on AI agent orchestration, GenAI workflow automation, backend services, and cloud deployment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities AI / GenAI Production Engineering

  • Convert AI proof-of-concept agents and workflows into production-ready Python services.
  • Design and implement AI agent orchestration workflows using frameworks like LangGraph or LangChain.
  • Integrate GenAI agents with backend services, APIs, and enterprise data pipelines.

Cloud & Workflow Orchestration

  • Develop and maintain Azure Functions and Durable Functions.
  • Implement orchestrator and activity patterns for long-running AI workflows.
  • Optimize performance and resource utilization of cloud-based AI services.

Backend Development

  • Build REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Ensure production readiness through error handling, retries, logging, monitoring, and idempotency.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across Python services and GenAI workflows.

Collaboration & Engineering Excellence

  • Work closely with data scientists to understand model behavior and convert experimental solutions into reliable systems.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Contribute to code reviews, engineering standards, and technical documentation.

DevOps & Agile Delivery

  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Support security testing, compliance, and system hardening.

Required Skills Programming

  • Strong proficiency in Python development.
  • Experience with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.

GenAI & AI Engineering

  • Understanding of Generative AI and machine learning pipelines.
  • Experience with LangGraph / LangChain or similar agent orchestration frameworks.

Cloud & Serverless

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Functions and Durable Functions.
  • Experience building workflow orchestration for long-running processes.

Backend & APIs

  • Experience building REST APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Strong experience developing production-grade backend services and data pipelines.

Production Engineering

  • Knowledge of fault tolerance, retry mechanisms, observability, logging, and monitoring.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
