Data science Manager, SMAI Procurement

Directs the activities of a data science team responsible for the design, development, programming methods, processes and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for businesses across the company. Oversees the development of software programs, algorithms and automated processes that cleanse, integrate and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources. Identifies and communicates to stakeholders, meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring the efficient operation of the function.

Qualification And Experience Required,

• A minimum of Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering, or in a related computational field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Data Science or related fields.
• Proven experience in using analytic-oriented languages such as Python or R; working with large, complex datasets applying big data technologies and script language, including Java, and C/C++.
• Knowledge of advanced AI technologies, LLM, Agentic AI, YOLO, Decision Trees etc.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern data science and product/web analytics tools and techniques, including Python, Angular, Google Cloud Data platform, Snowflake etc.
• Proven experience in mentorship and guidance for the efficient and technical development of the members of a team.
• Knowledge of project and program management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a clear and concise manner to communicate technical content and analytical insights
• Understanding of Micron’s data and business is a plus.
