Data Protection Officer

Role Description:

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The DPO will oversee data protection strategies, monitor compliance with applicable data privacy and security laws, and advise on privacy risks across all organizational activities. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and updating privacy policies, conducting data protection impact assessments, responding to data subject requests, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance. The DPO will also manage incident response procedures, maintain records of processing activities, deliver training and awareness programs, and serve as the key point of contact for regulators and other external authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data protection and privacy frameworks, including Data Privacy and Privacy Compliance.
• Experience interpreting and implementing Regulatory Compliance requirements across organizational processes.
• Background in Law with the ability to analyze legal texts and translate them into operational policies and procedures.
• Ability to develop, review, and maintain clear and comprehensive Privacy Policies.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Information Security, Compliance, or a related field.
• Experience in a data protection, compliance, or legal advisory role, preferably within a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and risk assessment skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
