Job Title: Data I/O Operator

Overview

Data I/O (“Incoming and Outgoing”) operators work with clients to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and to manage them on the network and archive them when work is completed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Access video incoming/outgoing files using file transfer clients such as Aspera, Signiant, S3
  • Manage files and data on the server in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform quality control on incoming video assets against a given specification.
  • Address and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Communicate with internal departments (QC, Project Management, Tech, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn and undertake additional department duties as required

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Experience in a post-production of media environment.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery platforms such as Aspera, Signiant, S3.
  • Familiarity with metadata / XML creation and verification, digital packaging and quality control processes.
  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of audio/video, physical and file formats and electronic delivery platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
