Data Engineer

bout the Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large datasets, cloud-based architectures, and modern data engineering tools within the GCP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes on GCP.
• Work with structured and unstructured data to support analytics and business intelligence needs.
• Develop and optimize data workflows using tools such as Cloud Composer, Dataflow, and BigQuery.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance practices.
• Optimize query performance and manage large-scale datasets in BigQuery.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Strong programming skills in Python or SQL.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration.
• Good understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with large-scale data processing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Apache Airflow, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data engineering.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• GCP certification is a plus.
