We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our team in a hybrid role, with a strong focus on automation and API testing rather than manual testing.

The ideal candidate has solid experience designing and implementing automated tests for APIs and backend systems, working with modern JavaScript-based automation frameworks, and collaborating closely with developers to build a strong test pyramid strategy.

This role requires someone who is comfortable working in Agile environments, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with engineering teams to improve overall product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, backend services, and UI.
• Programmatically interact with APIs and build end-to-end API integration tests.
• Validate RESTful APIs and ensure the quality and reliability of core services.
• Build and maintain API test suites using tools such as Supertest/Jest or similar frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with developers to implement and maintain a test pyramid strategy, emphasizing automated tests from unit to integration and E2E levels.
• Perform backend validation using SQL/JDBC with databases such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Execute CMS workflow testing and AEM Asset integration validation.
• Conduct AWS-based QA validation, including services such as Lambda and S3.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot test reporting issues.
• Contribute to improving testing frameworks, processes, and best practices across the team.
• Track and manage defects using Jira and maintain documentation in Confluence.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Senior-level experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience building API tests and API integration testing.
• Experience programmatically interacting with REST APIs.
• Experience with JavaScript-based test automation frameworks, such as: Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO
• Experience with API testing frameworks/tools such as Supertest/Jest or similar.
• Experience working with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Solid understanding of automation design patterns, including Page Object Model.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
• Experience working with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines and test reports.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Knowledge of test automation architecture and framework design.
• Experience in distributed or international teams.
