Experience Required (Mandatory)

  • 5+ Years of total experience in Data Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Snowflake
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in Power BI
  • Conceptual knowledge of SAP BW on HANA (no hands-on required)

Job Summary

We are hiring a Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Snowflake and Power BI to support enterprise data platforms in a Service Delivery / Application Managed Services (AMS) environment.

The role focuses on data pipeline support, monitoring, performance optimization, issue resolution, and minor enhancements while ensuring SLA-driven operations. Exposure to SAP data landscapes is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 support for Snowflake data pipelines and Power BI reports.
  • Monitor ETL/ELT jobs, data loads, and report refresh cycles.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, performance bottlenecks, and failures.
  • Implement minor enhancements and optimizations in Snowflake and Power BI.
  • Optimize queries, compute warehouses, and data models in Snowflake.
  • Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and DAX calculations.
  • Manage data sources, gateways, refresh schedules, and security (RLS).
  • Coordinate with Client Business Groups and SAP teams using conceptual knowledge of SAP BW/HANA.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Maintain runbooks, documentation, and knowledge articles.

Mandatory Skills

  • 5+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Power BI
  • Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience in production support / AMS environments
  • Knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schema)
  • Experience in incident management and SLA-based support
  • Conceptual knowledge of SAP BW on HANA
  • Experience with cloud platforms : Azure

Good to Have (Optional)

  • Exposure to SAP Datasphere
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Shell, etc.)
  • Understanding of ITIL or service delivery processes
