Role- Data Architect

Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient data architecture frameworks that align with business objectives. In addition to defining enterprise data models and governance policies, this role also includes data engineering responsibilities to ensure robust data pipelines and integration across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise-wide data architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Create and maintain data models, schemas, and data flow diagrams.
• Design scalable solutions for data storage, integration, and retrieval.
• Establish data governance frameworks and enforce standards.
• Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Design ETL/ELT processes for batch, real-time, and streaming data.
• Optimize data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.

Required Technical Skills

• Expertise in relational, dimensional, and NoSQL modeling.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Medallion Architecture, and Data Fabric concepts.
• Experience in data governance tools and metadata management (Collibra, Alation, informatica)
• Hands on experience in modern Cloud native Data Platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, MS Fabric, AWS Redshift)
• Proficiency in ETL tools and frameworks (ADF, GCP Dataflow, AWS Glue, Airflow).
• Experience with batch and real-time data ingestion (lambda architecture)
• Strong SQL skills
• Familiarity with Python, Spark, or PySpark for data processing

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in data architecture or similar roles.
• Certifications in cloud platforms or data architecture (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Azure)
