Job Description

Job Summary

Analyzes credit data and financial statements to determine the risk in lending money. Prepares reports that include the degree of risk and possible solutions. Collaborates with other departments to monitor and mitigate credit risks.


Key Areas of Responsibility

• Evaluates credit applications and financial documents to assess creditworthiness.

• Monitors existing credit accounts to identify potential risks and irregularities.

• Prepares detailed risk assessment reports for management review.

• Collaborates with sales and finance teams to develop risk mitigation strategies.

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of market trends and economic factors affecting credit risk.

• Communicates credit policies and procedures to internal stakeholders and clients.

• Credit Risk Management: Responsible for managing credit risk across a diverse portfolio of accounts related to sales on credit to customers.

• Compliance and Controls: Ensures adherence to Global Credit Risk Policy, ICS 12 and 275 requirements, and related Finance Directives.

• Risk Assessment: Determines credit limits, risk categories, and next review dates using credit assessment models and structured risk scoring approaches.

• Authorizes blocking or releasing sales orders based on defined approval criteria.

• Drive continuous process enhancements, performance management, and forecasting results while supporting Finance Business Partners.

• Delinquency Control: Establishes and maintains an effective delinquency control and follow-up program for late, delinquent, or potentially delinquent customer accounts.

• Work closely with the collections team, KAMs and FBPs to address potential delinquencies.


Critical Experiences

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required to understand financial analysis and credit risk principles.

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in credit risk assessment, financial analysis, or credit management within a corporate finance or banking environment.

• Professional certification in credit risk management such as Certified Credit Risk Analyst (CCRA) or equivalent is required to ensure compliance and proficiency in credit risk policies and controls.
