Role Description The Corporate Lawyer will provide comprehensive legal support to UK International London Beauty School’s operations in Patna and across its network. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements with partners, vendors, employees, and service providers, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies. The role involves advising management on corporate governance, regulatory requirements in education and vocational training, intellectual property matters, data protection, and risk management. The Corporate Lawyer will handle legal documentation related to affiliations, certifications, and franchising, manage dispute resolution and liaise with external legal counsel where needed. The position is full-time, based on-site in Patna, and requires close collaboration with leadership, finance, HR, and academic teams to support strategic initiatives and safeguard the school’s legal interests.
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance relevant to education, vocational training, and franchising.
  • Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, MOUs, partnership contracts, and employment-related documents.
  • Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and risk assessment, with the ability to provide clear, practical recommendations to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property, data protection, and privacy regulations, particularly in the context of educational content and branding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare precise legal documentation, policies, and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bar Council and relevant corporate or education-sector experience preferred.
  • High ethical standards, sound judgment, attention to detail, and openness to continuous learning in evolving regulatory landscapes.
