Job Title: Software Engineer II — Core Systems

About The Opportunity

A technology company operating in the Enterprise Software & Cloud Platforms sector, focused on building scalable backend systems and platform services for business-critical applications. We are hiring a mid‑level core/backend engineer to join an on‑site engineering team in Bangalore working on high‑performance, production systems.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain backend services and core platform components using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and microservices; ensure backward compatibility and robust versioning.
• Troubleshoot production issues: perform root‑cause analysis, fix defects, and apply performance optimizations.
• Write unit and integration tests; collaborate on CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, tests, and deployments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (QA, Product, DevOps) to deliver features on schedule and maintain SLAs.
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices to improve system reliability and developer productivity.
