Summary of the role:

We are looking for an experienced, overseas Education Counsellor/Conversion Specialist who is meticulous in his/her approach and is well connected within the Education network of India. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging with prospective students looking for Medical and Pre-Med courses, providing guidance, and effectively facilitating their journey from inquiry to enrolment.

This is a 6-month contractual engagement with a structured, performance-linked pathway to full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Conversion & Enrolment Sales

At the core of this role is the ability to convert qualified interest into confirmed enrolments. You will manage a pipeline of inbound leads - students and parents - and guide them from initial inquiry through to application and admission.


2. Student Counselling & Program Advisory You will serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students exploring US medical programs. This involves developing a strong understanding of program structures, eligibility criteria, admission timelines, and career pathways -and translating this knowledge into clear, credible, and personalized guidance for each prospect.


3. Objection Handling & Trust Building A significant part of the role involves addressing concerns around tuition fees, relocation, visa processes, and long-term career outcomes. You must be adept at listening actively, empathizing with concerns, and reframing objections into informed, confident decisions.


4. Pipeline Management & Structured Follow-Up You will own your lead pipeline end-to-end -from first contact to final enrolment. This demands disciplined follow-up cadences across calls, WhatsApp, and email, ensuring every interaction moves the conversation forward meaningfully.


5. CRM Management & Reporting

You will maintain detailed lead records, track conversion stages, and generate activity reports within the CRM.

Desired Profile:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in overseas education counselling/recruitment.
  • Experience of working with overseas education agency is a must.
  • Preference will be given to the candidates with experience of recruiting and counselling students for US market.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong networking and counselling skills
  • Ability to remember course information, scholarships, accommodation and other relevant information required to execute this role swiftly.
  • Prior experience in healthcare or medical education recruitment is an added advantage
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, colleagues and team.
  • Willing to travel If required
