Job Description:
The Machine Subsystem team works on Embedded Control Systems for various Caterpillar Machines. This job involves designing, developing and testing control system features for Caterpillar products. The control systems senior engineer will utilize a variety of tools to support all steps of the software development process.
Job Duties
Experience in MATLAB, Simulink
Knowledge of Control Systems, MIL & SIL
Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture
Good Trouble Shooting/Debugging skills
Knowledge on Software Configuration Tools
Knowledge on Software testing and Tools (CANalayzer, CANape etc.,)
Ability to investigate, analyze data and identify root cause of customer issues
Good Communication and proven ability to work across software layers

Job Description:
The Machine Subsystem team works on Embedded Control Systems for various Caterpillar Machines. This job involves designing, developing and testing control system features for Caterpillar products. The control systems senior engineer will utilize a variety of tools to support all steps of the software development process.
Job Duties
- Gather product and system requirements to further specify and document control system requirements.
- Design and implement embedded control system for new functions or the enhancement of existing ones. Core functions are implemented in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Test and debug control system software using a variety of methods and tools to demonstrate requirements, optimize system performance, and improve code quality.
- Collaborate with clients and partner teams to provide post-production support.
- BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering
- 8 to 15 years’ experience in Embedded Control System Software Development
