3D Product Designer (Mechanical / CAD)

About us

Galler is an end-to-end engineering and electronics manufacturing company. We design and manufacture industrial electronics—RTUs, energy meters, UPS systems, enclosures, PDUs, and electromechanical devices—for India's largest telecom, petroleum, and energy operators. We run our own toolroom: CNC, VMC, wire-cut, press shop, all in-house.

The role

We're looking for a 3D Product Designer to own the mechanical design of our hardware - from concept to production-ready parts. You'll design enclosures, sheet-metal, and plastic housings for our electronic products, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our R&D, toolroom, and production teams so that what you design can actually be built, cleanly and cost-effectively, on our own floor.

What you'll do

• Create 3D models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings for enclosures, sheet-metal parts, and injection-molded components.
• Design for manufacturability (DFM) across sheet metal, plastics, CNC, and press-shop processes.
• Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up so parts fit and assemble the first time.
• Collaborate with electronics/R&D teams to package PCBs, connectors, and thermal needs into robust product housings.
• Work with the toolroom on prototypes, tooling, and design iterations.
• Maintain a clean library of part files, revisions, and BOMs.

You must have

• A diploma/degree in Mechanical / Product Design or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on CAD skills (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Solid grasp of sheet-metal and plastic (injection-molded) part design.
• Working knowledge of DFM, GD&T, and tolerancing.
• Ability to read the shop floor and design for real manufacturing constraints.

Good to have

• Experience designing enclosures for electronic or electro-mechanical products.
• Exposure to thermal management, sealing/IP ratings, or vibration considerations.
• Familiarity with rendering or basic prototyping.
