Company Description CIPET Korba, established in September 2018 through the joint efforts of the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh, focuses on academic and employment-oriented skill development for unemployed and underemployed youth. Located at the Education Hub, Syahimudi, Post Gopalpur, Korba, the center operates on an 18.2-acre campus. CIPET Korba supports plastics and allied industries by providing technical training and services, including Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tool Room, Plastic Processing, and Testing. It offers long-term academic programs and skill development initiatives to meet the growing demands of the plastics industry in Northern Chhattisgarh. The center aims to enhance technical skills, promote self and wage employment, and bring youth from diverse backgrounds into the mainstream economy.
Role Description The Consultant IT and Networking will provide expert IT consulting and networking support to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations at CIPET Korba. This contract, on-site role in Korba involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, servers, and end-user systems. The consultant will monitor system performance, implement security measures, manage backups, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements. Responsibilities include providing technical support to staff and trainees, documenting IT processes, recommending technology upgrades, and assisting in the integration of IT systems with training and technical consultancy activities. The role may also involve conducting basic IT awareness or orientation sessions to support the center’s skill development objectives.
Qualifications

• Strong background in Information Technology and Networking, including system administration and network configuration.
• Experience in IT Consulting and general Consulting, with the ability to assess needs and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Proficient in providing Technical Support and troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Excellent Analytical Skills for diagnosing complex technical problems and optimizing IT infrastructure.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and data backup practices.
• Familiarity with educational or training environments and support for lab or classroom IT setups is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple tasks independently, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
