Comsof Fiber Network Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Use Comsof Fiber Designer to develop and optimize fiber optic network designs, including both outside plant and in-building fiber systems.
• Analyze and design telecom network infrastructure for optimal performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Perform network capacity planning, traffic analysis, and provide recommendations for network improvements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that network design and specifications meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs with existing network infrastructure.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site surveys to determine the best approach for network designs.
• Work with project management teams to deliver fiber network designs within the given timeframes.
• Review and assess telecom regulatory guidelines, ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and local regulations.
• Provide support to the operations team for network troubleshooting and issue resolution when required.
• Effective and timely communication and timely escalations/mitigations should be too key for the candidate.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of experience in telecom network planning and design, particularly in fiber optic networks.
• Hands-on experience with Comsof Fiber Designer is a must.
• Strong understanding of telecom network principles, including fiber optic technology, network architecture, and fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployment.
• Proficient in designing fiber optic networks for both urban and rural areas, considering factors like geography, customer needs, and network scalability.
• Good understanding of industry standards and best practices in network design.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in preparing network design documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
• Knowledge of telecom regulations and standards.
• Experience in working with network deployment teams.
