Role Description the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Operator role at FTG is a full-time, on-site position located in Hyderabad. The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components that meet aerospace and defense quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings and work orders, selecting appropriate tools and materials, monitoring machine operations, and performing in-process inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency. The role involves adjusting machine settings, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance, and collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes. The CNC Operator will also document work, follow safety and quality procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Key Requirements

✅ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI (Machinist/Turner/Fitter or equivalent)

✅ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment

✅ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

✅ Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges

✅ Experience with deburring and finishing of machined parts

✅ Knowledge of sandblasting processes (preferred)

✅ Basic knowledge of G-code/CNC programming (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

·      Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision components.

·      Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality.

·      Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.

·      Perform deburring and sandblasting operations.

·      Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.

·      Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures while working collaboratively with engineering and quality teams.
