The Role

We are hiring a Commissioning Engineer to own on-site project execution and commissioning at Mundra port. This is a hands-on engineering role, not a coordination desk job. You will take automation projects from installation through commissioning, testing, and handover, working directly with clients and our team to make sure systems go live on time and perform to spec.

Success in this role means projects that commission cleanly, systems that stay up, and clients who do not have to chase you for status.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project execution: installation, commissioning, testing, and handover
• Commission, calibrate, and troubleshoot automation systems and port machinery on site
• Configure and troubleshoot network switches, IP addressing, and connectivity
• Work with PLC systems: configuration, integration, and fault diagnosis
• Resolve technical and logistical issues on site, in real time
• Coordinate timelines, track deliverables, and keep projects moving
• Communicate progress and blockers clearly to clients and internal teams
• Maintain project documentation and drive process improvements

Qualifications

• Hands-on project execution and commissioning experience (this is the priority)
• Strong on at least two of the following, ideally all: switch configuration, IT/OT network engineering, PLC systems
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field
• 1-2 years or more in commissioning, industrial automation, or on-site systems work
• Ability to work independently and solve problems under pressure
• Willingness to work full-time, on-site at Mundra

Preferred

• Experience in ports, terminals, cranes, or heavy industrial automation
• Exposure to SCADA or OCR systems
• Familiarity with structured cabling and industrial network architecture
