Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CNC Machine Operator role based at the Genau Extrusions facility in Hosur. The CNC Machine Operator will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to manufacture parts according to technical drawings, process sheets, and production plans. Day-to-day tasks include machine start-up and shut-down, selecting and installing tooling, loading and unloading components, adjusting machine parameters, and ensuring stable, efficient machining. The role involves performing in-process inspections, checking dimensions with measuring instruments, and reporting non-conformities to maintain quality standards. The CNC Machine Operator will also be responsible for basic machine maintenance, keeping the work area clean and safe, following 5S and safety guidelines, and collaborating with supervisors, quality teams, and maintenance staff to meet production targets.
Qualifications

  • Strong machine operation skills, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of CNC machinery.
  • Hands-on experience in machining and milling, with the ability to read engineering drawings and follow process sheets.
  • Knowledge of machinery care, including routine checks, preventive maintenance, and safe handling of tools and equipment.
  • Quality control skills, including use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and adherence to inspection standards.
  • ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Tool & Die, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work in shifts, follow safety procedures, and maintain high levels of accuracy and productivity.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork mindset, and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
  • Prior experience in automotive or precision component manufacturing is an advantage.
