Job Title: Cloud Systems Engineer

Location: 100% Onsite – Mason, OH area

Salary Range: $120,000–$130,000 annually

The Cloud Systems Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert across multiple projects, designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based solutions. This role is critical to optimizing performance, ensuring security, and driving efficiency in a complex enterprise cloud infrastructure. The engineer will work hands-on with technologies like Terraform, GitLab, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies and best practices.

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud solutions using Terraform, GitLab, and GCP
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability and performance
• Automate cloud services and processes using scripting tools
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot reliability and security issues

• Define cloud strategies and requirements in partnership with cross-functional teams
• Implement cost-effective cloud usage practices
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards

• Provide technical expertise in cloud architecture
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in Information Technology
• 5+ years in cloud engineering, with emphasis on large-scale cloud solutions (GCP required)
• 4+ years in cloud networking and security architecture
• 3+ years with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager)
• Experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker)
• Proven troubleshooting and high-availability maintenance experience
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strategic planning and roadmap development experience

• Google Professional Cloud Architect or Associate Cloud Engineer certification
