AWS Cloud Specialist
Role Summary
• Key contributor within the cloud and infrastructure team, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable AWS environments
• Support product platforms and customer delivery through secure, highly available, and cost-optimized cloud solutions
• Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Operations teams to align infrastructure with modern cloud-native best practices
• Mid-to-senior level role for professionals with 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience and the ability to independently manage cloud environments
Key Responsibilities
AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management
• Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure
• Maintain environments across development, staging, and production
• Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, and VPC
• Ensure reliability and performance of cloud-hosted applications
• Plan, execute, and validate migration of new workloads onto AWS
Cloud Security & Compliance
• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network controls
• Partner with security teams to ensure compliance with organizational and customer standards
• Conduct regular reviews of cloud configurations to identify risks and improvements
• Support audits, penetration testing, and security validation activities
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Automate provisioning, monitoring, and scaling processes
• Support CI/CD pipeline integrations for efficient deployments
Monitoring, Support & Optimization
• Monitor systems using AWS CloudWatch and related tools
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Optimize cloud costs through resource management and usage tracking
• Maintain documentation and ensure operational readiness
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
• Work closely with Product Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams
• Contribute to cloud architecture discussions and modernization initiatives
• Mentor junior engineers and support capability building
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
• Strong hands-on experience with EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including load balancers, DNS, routing, and subnets
• Exposure to Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, or EKS
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills
