Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Solution Architect to design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions on AWS. The role will drive cloud strategy, architecture governance, and transformation initiatives while working closely with business, engineering, and operations teams.

This position requires strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, and cost optimization, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and lead large-scale cloud programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Architecture & Design

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS
• Define architecture patterns, best practices, and governance frameworks
• Lead cloud-native and hybrid architecture solutions

2. Cloud Transformation & Migration

• Drive cloud migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor)
• Assess current infrastructure and define modernization roadmaps
• Lead large-scale migration programs and ensure minimal downtime

3. Cost Optimization & FinOps

• Implement cost optimization strategies using AWS native tools
• Drive FinOps practices and improve cloud cost visibility
• Recommend right-sizing, reserved instances, and savings plans

4. Security & Compliance

• Ensure architecture aligns with security best practices (IAM, encryption, network security)
• Implement compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, etc.)
• Collaborate with security teams for risk mitigation

5. DevOps & Automation

• Enable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
• Promote Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Drive automation and self-healing infrastructure

6. Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with business, product, and engineering teams
• Act as a trusted advisor for cloud strategy and adoption
• Present architecture solutions to leadership and customers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in AWS
• Strong expertise in core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM
• Experience with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Strong understanding of networking (DNS, Load Balancing, VPN, Direct Connect)
• Experience in monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional preferred)
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (Azure/GCP)
• Exposure to Generative AI / AI-driven cloud use cases
• Experience in SaaS platform architecture
• Background in FinOps and cost governance
