Cloud Network Security Engineer

Role Description Work Location: Hyderabad Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Network Security Operations Engineer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in WAF, IPS, firewalls (Checkpoint/Fortinet), and AWS cloud security, with intermediate Python skills . If you have a strong security mindset, expertise in modern security tools, and the ability to work in an Agile environment, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and manage Cloud Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications against security threats. Act as SME for security incidents, audits, and high-priority escalations. Configure and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) to prevent security breaches. Manage and optimize Checkpoint or Fortinet firewalls for robust network security. Monitor, analyze, and respond to security logs and s. Conduct regular security assessments and review vulnerability scans to mitigate risks. Collaborate with security teams to enforce policies, standards, and best practices. Document security configurations, processes, and guidelines. Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on security-related issues. Qualifications & Skills ? Minimum 5 years in Network & Security Operations ? Expertise in WAF, IPS, and firewall management (Checkpoint/Fortinet) ? Strong AWS security experience ? Intermediate Python proficiency ? Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) ? Knowledge of Agile methodologies ? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Certifications CISSP CEH AWS Certified Security Preferred Skills Additional experience with security tools & technologies Deep understanding of network protocols & security best practices Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Skills Cloud Web Application Firewalls,Network Protocols,Security Tools and Technologies
