Cloud Engineer - Kubernetes & Streaming Platforms

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with a strong focus on Kubernetes to lead the deployment and operations of our Confluent Platform on Azure. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a scalable, high-performance streaming infrastructure using AKS and modern Kafka architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Cluster Management: Build and optimize AKS clusters specifically for stateful workloads like Kafka.
• Confluent Ecosystem: Deploy and manage Confluent components (Brokers, Connect, Schema Registry, ksqlDB) using Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK).
• Cloud Infrastructure: Configure Azure networking (CNI, Ingress) and storage (CSI drivers) following best practices for high availability.
• Security & Automation: Implement RBAC, TLS, and secrets management while automating everything via Helm and GitOps.
• Reliability: Monitor system health with Grafana and Control Center, ensuring disaster recovery and performance tuning.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud & K8s: Solid experience as a Cloud Engineer working with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production.
• Streaming Data: Deep knowledge of Kafka or Confluent Platform, including architecture and internals.
• DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Helm, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Security: Experience with Azure Key Vault, Managed Identity, and TLS.
• Code: Fluency in C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript (at least one).
• Data: Expertise in JSON and YAML for configuration.
