Client Accountant

Duties

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as their main point of contact
• Prepare year‑end accounts
• Prepare Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns
• PAYE and VAT preparation.
• Respond to client queries via phone and email
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date financial records for all clients
• Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and compliance requirements
• Supporting the implementation of the company’s growth strategy

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience as a Client Accountant, or similar role
• AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified or part‑qualified (preferred)
• Strong IT literacy, especially Excel and Word
• Experience using bookkeeping/accounting software (Ideally FreeAgent)
• Solid understanding of systems and processes
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional, articulate, and confident communicator
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships
• Self‑motivated, ambitious, and comfortable working to targets
