Role Description The Chief Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based at Sayaji Hotels in Raipur, responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, and technical operations of the property. This role includes planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems to ensure safety, reliability, and efficient functioning. The Chief Engineer will manage and mentor the engineering team, coordinate with other hotel departments, and work with external vendors and contractors for specialized services. Daily responsibilities include monitoring energy consumption, implementing cost-effective solutions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards, and responding promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests. The role also involves budget planning for maintenance, maintaining detailed records of repairs and inspections, and supporting continuous improvement in facilities and guest experience.

Qualifications
- Strong facilities and maintenance management skills, including experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
- Proficiency in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, asset lifecycle management, and basic project management.
- Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and environmental and energy management practices within hospitality or commercial properties.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, team supervision experience, and effective coordination with cross-functional hotel teams.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, vendor and contractor management experience, and a customer-focused approach to problem resolution.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline; prior experience as Chief Engineer or Senior Engineer in hotels or large facilities is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Raipur with flexibility for weekend and shift-based operational requirements as needed.
