Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Pune City. The Chartered Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting, including preparation and review of financial statements, general ledger entries, reconciliations, and statutory records. The role involves overseeing taxation and compliance activities, such as GST, income tax, corporate filings, audits, and adherence to local and international accounting standards. The professional will support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial planning to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with internal departments and external auditors, ensuring robust internal controls, and providing financial insights to management for decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with strong knowledge of accounting principles, Ind AS/IFRS, and statutory reporting.
  • Experience in corporate finance, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in taxation and regulatory compliance, covering GST, direct taxes, company law requirements, and audit processes.
  • Strong skills in financial accounting systems and tools, such as ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel for data analysis.
  • Ability to interpret financial data, prepare management reports, and provide clear, concise recommendations to leadership.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume transaction environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Relevant industry experience in steel, metals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is an advantage; familiarity with export/import and global operations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibly.
