Role Description This is a full-time Chartered Accountant role based in Coimbatore, offered in a hybrid work model that combines on-site responsibilities with some flexibility to work from home. The Chartered Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing financial statements, and ensuring timely bookkeeping and reconciliations. The role involves overseeing statutory compliance such as GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulatory filings, as well as coordinating audits and supporting internal controls. The person in this role will analyze financial performance, prepare budgets and forecasts, monitor cash flow, and provide insights to support management decision-making. Additional responsibilities may include cost accounting for agricultural products, vendor and farmer payment verification, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with a strong grounding in accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in financial accounting and reporting, including ledger management, reconciliations, and preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Knowledge of taxation and compliance, such as GST, TDS, income tax, corporate filings, and familiarity with relevant Indian accounting and regulatory frameworks.
- Skills in budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial planning to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP tools, along with strong Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to identify discrepancies, strengthen internal controls, and support audit processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with management, operations teams, and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience in agriculture, FMCG, manufacturing, or related sectors is an advantage, along with familiarity with supply chain or inventory accounting.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment from Coimbatore, manage deadlines independently, and adapt to a growing, mission-driven organization.
