What You Can Expect

The primary responsibilities of the Procurement Category Analyst are to support the strategic category manager(s) in achieving significant cost reductions in their categories. Define RFP excellence, analytics excellence strategies that seek total cost of ownership and service improvements across all supply and demand levers. Work directly with stakeholders to develop optimization strategies and improvement execution plans.

Work Location: Bangalore

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 Days in office)

How You'll Create Impact

  • Analyze supplier spend in managed categories
  • Help in development of strategic plans for contracting and improving managed categories
  • Ensure execution of strategies within their area
  • Plan and lead supplier RFP process in supported categories
  • Support measurement and supplier performance tracking
  • Develop knowledge and best practices in the categories under his/her management
  • Maintain strategic manager informed about progress
  • Track market dynamics of categories
  • Define cost benchmarks for categories, if needed
  • Maintain pricing, contract and catalog data in respective systems (SAP, JDE, SAP ARIBA)
  • Create and track cost saving projects in savings tracking system
  • Upload contracts into contract management tool and ensure it is up to date for category
  • Maintain supplier information in ERP as appropriate

Your Background

Required Skills

  • End‑to‑end procurement process, including supporting RFPs and maintaining data in any ERP systems (such as SAP, JDE, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills - strong excel, other tools like Alteryx or Power BI experience for complex analysis.
  • Stakeholder and vendor management.
  • Must have a background in procurement or sourcing.
  • Analyzing large volumes of spend data, creating dashboards, identifying suppliers, and executing tasks assigned by managers.
  • The role involves interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Successful track record in a procurement organization.
  • Experience with project management and cost management.
  • Strong communication skills.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Experience Range: 2+ Years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or similar.
