Career Counselor OR Senior Career Counselor

The successful candidate will report to the Director of Career Development, providing direct support to students and alumni in their career exploration and development. This includes conducting one on one meetings and workshops-both in person and online-on topics including career exploration and related majors, job and internship search strategies and tools, and critiques on resumes, cover letters, and personal statements. In addition, the candidate will use creativity and planning skills to assist with the Career Development Center’s (CDC) student engagement and marketing efforts. They will also be expected to develop strong partnerships with campus colleagues, faculty, alumni, and student leaders.

The CDC provides career advising, assessment, and counseling; develops workshops, career education programs, and alumni networking opportunities; advises on job search and internship strategies; offers access to jobs and internships through job fairs and on-line postings; and supports all aspects of the graduate and professional school application process. Major events each year include career and graduate school fairs, part-time job fairs, and various networking and educational events.

The CDC works to educate and empower students toward meaningful careers and life-long professional success, engaging the campus, alumni, and employer communities as our partners. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success.
