Role Description The Business Development Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bhopal. The individual in this role is responsible for driving sales of life insurance products through Bank of Baroda branches, building strong relationships with bank staff, and supporting them in achieving business targets. Daily activities include engaging with branch teams, identifying customer needs, conducting product presentations, and ensuring accurate documentation and policy issuance. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, preparing regular reports, coordinating local marketing initiatives, and maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance with regulatory guidelines. The Business Development Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders to implement sales strategies and support business growth in the assigned territory.
Qualifications

  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with bank staff and customers, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in life insurance, financial services, or banking.
  • Capability to understand insurance products, explain them clearly, and match solutions to customer needs.
  • Skills in basic data analysis, reporting, and use of MS Office or similar tools for tracking sales performance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics in Bhopal and surrounding areas is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; relevant certifications in insurance or financial services are beneficial.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality customer service.
