The job
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the sales effort within the assigned customer base. The successful candidate will utilize exceptional technical knowledge to recommend product solutions to potential customers while cultivating new relationships and maintaining current customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving the assigned sales quota and managing his/her sales effort within the customer base assigned
- Make regular sales calls including cold calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads and establish long-term, ongoing repeat relationships
- Responsible for development and delivery of product demonstrations
- Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products & services
- Responsible for representing the product to customers and at field events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends & government regulations
- Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner
- Other duties as assigned.
- Pro-active lead generation from SARC region
- Tracking Real Time projects and leads from EPCs, Consultant, End Clients, OEMs
- Utilizes applicable sales tools and follow ETAP Automation sales process effectively to plan and document progress as well as to increase business growth.
- Pre-Qualification and approval with the end clients
Experience in Power & Automation for Turnkey Solutions
Desired Skills
- 7 to 10+ years professional selling experience in Power Automation in high-tech software, or service-related industry
- Should have hand on experience on renowned SCADA, RTU, DMS platforms
- Proven track record of consistently meeting / exceeding sales goals
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
- Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations
- Good business acumen with the ability to understanding industry dynamics, the competitive environment and customer business drivers
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams
- Able to travel throughout sales territory
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills
- Team focused, motivated and results oriented
- Computer Skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
- Familiarity with ETAP is preferred
