Product Approval Manager – GETCO & Government Approvals

Job Overview

The role involves managing end-to-end product approval processes with GETCO and other government bodies.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in securing approvals for products such as transformers, RTU panels, or similar electrical/automation equipment. A strong understanding of government processes, documentation, and the ability to drive approvals within defined timelines is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive product approvals with Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO)
• Manage end-to-end approval process including vendor registration, technical documentation submission, drawing approvals, and testing/compliance requirements
• Liaise with GETCO officials, state electricity boards, testing agencies, consultants, and EPC contractors
• Ensure timely closure of approval processes within defined timelines
• Track approval status and proactively resolve bottlenecks
• Coordinate with internal technical and engineering teams for documentation and compliance
• Support business development by enabling market access through approvals
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in government departments

Key Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in GETCO/state utility approvals
• Experience with transformer, RTU panel, or similar electrical/automation products
• Strong understanding of government tendering and approval processes
• Proven ability to navigate government systems and close approvals within timelines
• Strong network within GETCO, electricity boards, and approval bodies
