Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth across India's life sciences sector. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will identify, engage, and close new business with pharmaceutical formulation companies, API manufacturers, biotechnology firms, CROs, CDMOs, cosmetics, nutraceutical, and medical device companies seeking AI-driven regulatory intelligence and compliance solutions.

This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of India's digital transformation in life sciences — selling an innovative product that directly addresses regulatory and compliance challenges faced by companies navigating CDSCO, US FDA, EMA, and WHO-GMP requirements simultaneously.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience preferably to India's life sciences industry — pharma, biotech, CRO, MedTech, or life sciences SaaS/technology solutions
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas in a consultative sales environment
  • Prior experience selling regulatory, compliance, quality management (QMS/LIMS/DMS), or clinical technology solutions to Indian pharma companies is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Indian and global regulatory frameworks — CDSCO Schedule M, ICH guidelines, US FDA/EMA submission requirements, GxP compliance, and pharmacovigilance norms
  • Strong existing network within India's pharma and biotech industry is a significant advantage
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, or M.Sc. preferred); MBA is an added advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across India's life sciences ecosystem — domestic formulation companies, API manufacturers, biotech firms, CROs, CDMOs, nutraceutical brands, and medical device manufacturers
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline with reliable quarterly forecasting
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets across assigned territories (e.g., Mumbai pharma cluster, Hyderabad's Genome Valley, Ahmedabad API corridor)
  • Engage with senior decision-makers including VP Regulatory Affairs, Heads of Quality & Compliance, DRA Managers, and IT/Digital leads at pharma and biotech companies
  • Build long-term relationships that drive account growth, renewals, and peer referrals within industry networks
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned with revenue objectives across key Indian pharma hubs
  • Represent the organization at Indian pharma industry events
