Title: Business Development Manager – International (Renewable Energy O&M Services)
Location: Delhi
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the international renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in solar (and/or wind) O&M services is highly desirable.
Role Purpose:
The Business Development Manager – International will be responsible for driving growth in the renewable energy Operations & Maintenance (O&M) services business, with a primary focus on solar (and wind, where applicable). The role involves identifying and securing new international business opportunities, building strong relationships with third-party solar farm operators, and expanding the company’s global footprint.
The incumbent will work closely with International Business Development Leads based in Dubai and Australia to support strategic initiatives and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis & Strategy Development
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging opportunities, trends, and target geographies in the solar O&M sector.
- Develop and implement strategies for international market expansion.
- Prepare business forecasts and deliver on targets (MW capacity, revenue, and profitability).
2. Estimation & Tendering
- Analyze RFQs/RFPs/enquiries to identify key technical and commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify contractual terms and KPIs.
- Prepare cost estimates in collaboration with International BD Leads.
- Submit proposals and ensure timely follow-ups with clients.
- Work with contract teams for negotiation and finalization of agreements.
3. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Identify and engage with potential clients across international markets.
- Understand client requirements and propose customized O&M solutions.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and industry players.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of business opportunities.
4. Marketing & Promotion
- Collaborate with the central marketing team to develop impactful promotional materials and campaigns.
- Represent the company in industry forums, events, and client meetings (as required).
- Prepare periodic reports for senior management on performance, pipeline, and key developments.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards
- Stay updated on global regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements related to solar O&M.
- Ensure all business activities align with industry standards and sustainability practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
- MBA (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Business Development within the international renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in solar (and/or wind) O&M services is highly desirable.
