Management Trainee – Business Development Intern | AFL Program ⚡

About the Program

The AGP Fast-track Leadership (AFL) Program is designed for ambitious and high-potential candidates who want to build a career in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.

This program is created for candidates who, with the right grooming and exposure, have the ambition, confidence, and leadership mindset to grow within the organization.

Selected candidates will undergo structured training and role rotations where they will learn business processes, manage market relationships, understand sales strategies, and develop leadership skills.

The objective of the program is to groom candidates to eventually lead teams and manage business operations within the organization.

At AGP, Sales Managers are considered the backbone of the company, and they are given strong responsibility, respect, incentives, and leadership opportunities.

Program Structure 🏆Phase 1: Business Development Trainee (First 6 Months)

During the initial phase, candidates will focus on learning market dynamics and building relationships with educational institutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Visiting schools and educational institutions to interact with Principals and decision-makers.
  • Presenting AGP’s offerings and convincing schools to participate in Teacher Workshops and academic initiatives.
  • Understanding institutional requirements and building long-term professional relationships.
  • Learning how to represent the company and communicate product value effectively.
Phase 2: Business Development Executive (Next 6 Months)

In the second phase, candidates will begin working on target-oriented sales activities and business development strategies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following up with decision-makers and converting discussions into business opportunities.
  • Closing business activities and achieving assigned targets.
  • Learning ATL (Above the Line) and BTL (Below the Line) marketing strategies.
  • Expanding AGP’s presence across schools and educational institutions.
Phase 3: Senior Business Development Executive (After 1 Year)

After successfully completing the training phases, candidates will move into a leadership and team management role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and mentoring a team of graduates and business executives.
  • Planning and executing regional marketing and demand-generation campaigns.
  • Strengthening the connection between schools, retailers, and distributors to create a strong market ecosystem.
  • Developing strategies to increase product demand and business growth in assigned regions.
Key Responsibilities ⚓
  • Understand AGP’s product catalog and educational offerings in detail.
  • Build strong relationships with schools, principals, and educational stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular offline visits to educational institutes (B2B customers) to present products and gather feedback.
  • Maintain daily activity updates using the CRM system.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for improvement in strategy.
  • Support quality checks and train field executives across different cities when required.
  • Assist in developing new strategies to strengthen AGP’s presence in the education market.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Graduate or Postgraduate (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development can apply.
  • Candidates must be comfortable with field travel and client interaction.
