ROLE OVERVIEW
We need a driven, articulate BDE to own our complete sales pipeline — from lead generation to deal closure. You will target the booming Surat business ecosystem (diamonds, textiles, logistics, manufacturing, and local SMBs) as well as national and international markets through online portals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate leads via LinkedIn, cold email/calls, Upwork, Truelancer, Guru, and Surat local business networks
• Pitch AlphaWave's Web Development, SaaS, and IT services to SMBs, startups, textile/diamond businesses needing digitisation
• Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → proposal → negotiation → closure
• Work with technical team to prepare proposals, pricing, and client presentations
• Maintain CRM (HubSpot/Zoho) with all prospect interactions, pipeline status, and follow-up cadences
• Achieve monthly targets: qualified leads generated, proposals submitted, revenue closed
• Represent AlphaWave at Surat startup events, SGCCI (Southern Gujarat Chamber), TiE Gujarat, and industry meetups
• Target both domestic (Gujarat/India) and international clients (US, UK, Australia, Middle East) via online portals
• Handle client onboarding handoff to delivery team and maintain relationship for upselling and referrals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 1–4 years of IT sales / business development experience (freshers with strong communication may apply)
• Basic understanding of software services: Web Development, SaaS, Mobile Apps, Cloud
• Excellent spoken and written English; Gujarati and Hindi are strong advantages for local client outreach
• Hands-on experience with LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, and email campaigns
• Familiarity with CRM tools — HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or similar
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable in a startup/growth-stage environment
• Surat/South Gujarat candidates strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience bidding on Upwork, Freelancer, or Guru for IT projects
• Existing network among Surat business community (textile, diamond, logistics sectors)
• Knowledge of international IT markets — US, UK, Australia, Middle East
• MBA from SVNIT, VIT, or other South Gujarat institutions
