Job Description
About the Role
We are hiring a high-agency Business Development Associate to drive seller and buyer onboarding for an M&A marketplace platform.
This is an outbound-heavy role focused on building relationships. You’ll be the first point of contact for founders and buyers, helping grow both sides of the marketplace through thoughtful, well-timed conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reach out to potential sellers and buyers via calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Build and manage a strong lead pipeline
- Onboard sellers by understanding their intent and guiding them through the platform
- Maintain relationships through structured follow-ups
- Share market insights, objections, and feedback to improve conversion
- Work with internal teams on outreach and messaging
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years in business development, sales, or similar roles
- Strong communication and comfort with cold outreach
- Ability to build rapport and handle nuanced conversations
- Good judgment, empathy, and listening skills
- Basic understanding of financial concepts or interest in M&A
- Ownership mindset and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
- Exposure to M&A, consulting, or financial services
- Outbound-heavy experience
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot)
