Business Analyst- Private Assets Investment Data (Insurance Group)

A leading insurer is looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to play a key role in a strategic group-wide transformation programme focused on enhancing private assets data capabilities within the investment space. This position supports the design and rollout of a robust, vendor-supported private assets data platform. The goal is to deliver a single, authoritative source of truth for exposures, valuations, performance, and cash flows — enabling better investment decisions, risk oversight, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end implementation and configuration of the private assets data platform and its operating model.
• Gather, analyse, and document requirements from diverse stakeholders to ensure the platform and processes fully support business objectives.
• Coordinate with vendors on solution configuration, user acceptance testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
• Manage data onboarding and migration efforts — including source system analysis, data mapping, validation, and remediation of data quality issues.
• Design effective business processes, controls, and governance structures to sustain the capability long-term.
• Support change management, business readiness activities, and a smooth handover to BAU operations.

Requirements

• Strong domain knowledge in private assets and investment management, ideally with exposure to insurance or asset management environments.
• 6–10 years of proven experience in business analysis and leading strategic change initiatives within financial services.
• High data literacy, with practical experience in investment data flows, lineage, quality management, and integration.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills — able to influence and align senior leaders, cross-functional teams, technology partners, and vendors.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate issues and deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Hands-on experience implementing private assets platforms such as BlackRock eFront, MSCI Private i, or equivalents would be at high advantage.
