Business Analyst – Hotel / Hospitality Industry

Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Business Analyst with strong Hotel/Hospitality industry experience to work closely with business stakeholders, operations, and technology teams. The ideal candidate will understand hotel operations, revenue models, and guest lifecycle processes, and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements to support digital, operational, and analytical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with hotel business stakeholders (Operations, Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to gather and document business requirements
- Analyze and improve hotel operational processes including:
- Reservations & Booking
- Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Revenue Management & Pricing
- Guest Experience & Loyalty
- Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Back‑office operations
- Create functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Act as a bridge between business teams and IT/vendor partners
- Support implementation and enhancement of hotel systems (PMS, CRS, RMS, POS, Channel Managers, CRM, etc.)
- Perform impact analysis for system changes and new initiatives
- Assist with UAT planning, execution, and defect management
- Analyze data and KPIs to provide insights and recommendations
- Ensure solutions align with hotel brand standards and business goals
- Support change management, training, and documentation initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Hands-on experience in the Hotel / Hospitality industry (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of hotel operations and revenue drivers
- Experience working with hotel systems such as:
- PMS (e.g., Opera, Protel, StayNTouch)
- CRS / Booking Engines
- RMS
- POS systems
- Proficiency in requirement documentation techniques (BRD, FRD, user stories, BPMN)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi‑property or global hotel chains
- Exposure to integrations between hotel systems
- Knowledge of data analytics, reporting tools, or dashboards
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI‑PBA, or similar certification
- Experience with digital initiatives (mobile apps, guest portals, AI pricing tools)
