Business Analyst – EV Charger Management Software

About the Role

• Act as a techno-functional bridge between business stakeholders, product, and engineering teams
• Own end-to-end requirement lifecycle — from discovery to delivery
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical specifications

Requirements & Analysis

• Gather and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
• Analyse gaps between current platform and required features (charging sessions, tariffs, OCPP, diagnostics)
• Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Document process flows, data flows, and system integrations (payment gateways, EMS, fleet systems)

Collaboration & Delivery

• Act as the primary liaison between business and engineering teams
• Review technical designs to ensure alignment with business requirements
• Support API discussions, data modeling, and third-party integrations (OCPP, OCPI, smart grid APIs)
• Communicate technical constraints clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Manage backlog, prioritisation, and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Create wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes (Figma or similar tools)
• Track delivery progress and proactively flag risks or scope creep

Testing & Sign-Off

• Define UAT scenarios and coordinate testing with stakeholders
• Work with QA teams to ensure proper test coverage
• Track and validate defect resolution before releases

Must-Have Skills

• 3–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Techno-functional Analyst
• Strong understanding of EV charging ecosystem (OCPP, billing, session management)
• Experience in writing BRDs, FRDs, and user stories
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, and system integrations
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Figma

Good to Have

• Familiarity with OCPI, smart charging, or grid demand-response protocols
• Exposure to EV fleet management, roaming networks, or energy platforms
• Experience with IoT or device management systems
